Hardiness - Fully hardy down to -15c. Best planted away from exposed windy sites as they tend to be top heavy. 

Ideal for - Cottage Garden, Patio, Low maintenance gardens and back of flower beds.

Description -  A relatively new variety, this allium has large, spherical heads (up to 18cm across) of deep purple flowers. These appeared on stout stems over a prolonged time and even after the flowers had faded, the seedheads remained attractive for several weeks. As well as offering a long season of interest in the border, 'Ambassador' is also an excellent variety for cutting and adding to both fresh and dried arrangements.
