Description - For such a small plant, Lily of the Valley has a strong fragrance, especially when a few sprigs are brought into the house. This undemanding small creeping perennial bears its dainty waxy like white flowers in graceful sprays from late spring to early summer shown off by mid/dark coloured leaves.
Lily of the Valley prefer a shady position or one with dappled shade in moist, fertile soil enriched with organic matter to perform at its best and can often be found growing under deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs, making a wonderful groundcover spread in a woodland garden.
Toxicity - Caution, do not eat bulbs. Toxic to humans and pets if ingested.
