Height and Growth Rate: A large houseplant that can reach a height of 3m indoors. Fits in a pot with a 18cm+ opening.
Light: Bright indirect light, avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves.
Water: Water when the soil starts to dry out. Do not overwater as this may encourage root rot. Moderation is the key. In a normal environment water once per week.
Temperature: Normal room temperature 15 -25°C, however avoid cold draughts.
Humidity: Perfect in average to high humidity, avoid dry air environments.
Feed: Slow release fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Description - The Monstera’s iconic foliage and easy to grow habit has made this a real favourite in the home, the large leaves slowly unfurl and darken with the perforations appearing as the leaf ages. The Monstera can be grown on a moss pole or allowed to spread naturally.
Monstera are on NASA's list of air-purifying plants. They are proven to remove Benzene and Formaldehyde toxins present in home environments and help reduce the irritant side-effects to humans.
Toxicity: The leaves are poisonous. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
