Height and Growth Rate: A small-medium houseplant that can be trimmed if it gets too big. Fits in a pot with a 13cm+ opening.
Light: Bright indirect light, avoid direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves.
Water: Water when the soil starts to dry out. Do not overwater as this may encourage root rot. Moderation is the key. In a normal environment water once per week.
Temperature: Normal room temperature 15 -25°C, however avoid cold draughts.
Humidity: Perfect in average to high humidity, avoid dry air environments.
Feed: Apply fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Description - The Monstera Adansonii is easy to care for and can be trained on a moss pole due to its climbing/vining habit. Often the leaves grow through the holes and tear leaving an attractive feathered effect, ideal for bathrooms or kitchens where its warm and humid.
Monstera are on NASA's list of air-purifying plants. They are proven to remove Benzene and Formaldehyde toxins present in home environments and help reduce the irritant side-effects to humans.
Toxicity: The leaves are poisonous. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
