Plant name - Spathiphyllum bellini
Ultimate height: Will grow to approx 70cm
Light: Bright, indirect sun light.
Water: Keep the compost moist to the touch but do not overwater. Mist the leaves regularly, and clean them with a damp cloth to prevent a build up of dust. Keep away from cold draughts or direct sunlight.
Temperature: Average household temperatures are fine with a minimum of 10°C.
Feed: During the growing period add feed to the watering can (once a month using fertiliser for flowering houseplants). The peace lily prefers a humid atmosphere, especially in the winter - beware of central heating! Stand the plant somewhere cool (around 15 degrees centigrade) in the winter. Leaves that turn brown and faded flower stems can be snipped off.
Description: The 'peace lily' is a popular, easy to care for houseplant, and it is easy to see why with the white blooms offset against the long glossy green leaves. These blooms can start in spring and last for several months, slowly fading to green. Not only do these stylish plants look good but they also have the added benefit of cleansing the air.
Toxicity - Harmful if eaten/skin & eye irritant
