Alliums are incredibly beautiful flowers, with their long, upright stems carrying huge globes made up of dozens of individual flowers. They have a spectacular architectural quality that's impossible to miss and admired by all. Perfect for container growing, Allium 'Ostara' is a compact variety, but no less impressive. Its flowers are an amazingly vibrant purple-red during May and June and will look superb with the grey colour of the planter.

Alliums are recommended by the RHS as a 'Plant for Pollinators' and bees, butterflies find the flowers irresistible. The metal bucket planter contains everything you need to grow incredibly striking alliums on a patio, balcony, or anywhere else. The rope handles and brushed white finish give it a great, rustic feel that will look fantastic in any style of garden, be it old fashioned and cottagey or bang up to date. Simply plant the bulbs in autumn, up until mid-November, and they'll produce big, lush grey-green leaves in spring from which the flower stems will rise.
