They are Triumph tulips, a cross between two exceptional and successful varieties, Single Early and Darwin, resulting in exceptionally robust tulips with large, cup shaped flowers. Plant the tulips in autumn, and as late as November, and they'll bring a spectacular splash of colour to the garden in April and May. As the planter is reusable, once the tulips have finished flowering they can be replaced with summer planting, such as bedding or herbs.
