Chrysanthemum (Autumn Mum) – Purple Autumn Colour Plants (12 x 10.5cm Pots)
Purple chrysanthemums, often called autumn mums, bring rich colour to a garden, patio or doorstep just as most other plants are winding down. Their deep, velvety purple blooms are long-lasting and make a bold statement in borders, window boxes and containers.
Chrysanthemums have been a staple of autumn gardens for generations, prized for their reliability and generous flowering. The compact, bushy plants carry deep green, lobed leaves with a slightly aromatic scent and flower from September to November. The blooms also last well when cut.
You receive 12 plants, each in its own 10.5cm pot, ready to plant out or display. Choose a sunny spot in moist, well-drained, fertile soil, in a border or in a pot on the patio. Water regularly, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged, and try to avoid wetting the foliage. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage flowers throughout the autumn.
Chrysanthemums are harmful to cats and dogs if eaten.
